Just a quick word to say thanks and hope your hearts have survived
(parents) and that you enjoyed the game against Warwickshire. It
was a great day, and well done to all the boys and girls for a terrific
and exciting match. (see
attached results sheet)
It was a tough day and there were a lot of good battles and red
faces out there. We won 2 of the last mixed games to claw our way
back to 11-12, eventually going down 11-13 in the 3rd game of the
last match (oooh so close to a draw).
Thanks to the parents for bringing the players, and helping on the
day. Lets hope we can produce more of the same on the 24th.

JUNIOR SUCCESS - UNDER 15 NATIONALS Once
again we have news of some fantastic performances from STAFFS Juniors
at this year's Nationals. Read

60's Bow Out! In
their final match of the season, the Over 60's lost 11-1 to a strong
Lancs team, many of the lost rubbers going to 3. Barbara Blake and
Jan O'Connor saved the whitewash with their spirited ladies doubles
win. This is likely to be the last Over 60's match for a while,
as most of the team qualify for the next age-group, it's planned
to enter an Over 55's and an Over 65's team next season. |
JUNIOR
SHIRES RESULTS - UNDER 15s vs Lancashire - SSBA won 9 - 11
Team Manager Russell Morris - "It was a fantastic team performance
and gives the under 15s the chance of making the Shires Final for
the first time in approx 12 years."
Well done to all players and a big "Thank You" to the travelling
parents and supporters. |
